Welcome to the Spatial Documents Depository
This disciplinary depository is intended to provide an open global commons of full text documents for the spatial data infrastructure, GIS and closely related communities of practice and research. If you as an individual or your agency or organization have produced articles, case studies, technical reports or similar material that might be of interest to others in the professional practice or research communities, please feel free to archive them through this service. D-space is open archives initiative (OAI) complaint so, if you accurately fill in fields as you post material, any document archived here should be readily picked up and fully indexed by most OAI compliant web crawlers. Contributors appropriately license their works for use by others in the process of contributing them. The benefits of a disciplinary depository over merely posting items on the web are that anyone anywhere may readily submit material to the disciplinary collection through a moderated process and the practices embedded within the D-space technologies should increase the exposure of your contributions and enhance the ability of others to find and use your works in the future. It is estimated that 80% of private scholarly publishers if asked now allow academic authors to post even their published articles in university or disciplinary domain non-profit depositories.
Submission Instructions
In submitting a document, select the one best category for the document from among the choices available. Close is probably good enough because a user search of all or near categories will find the document regardless of the primary community or collection in which the document has been placed.
